I joined this group when I started my journey in July. I've read so many posts about the 3-4 week stall. I knew it was coming and I still wasn't prepared. I was sleeved on 12/9. I've been stuck at 218 for days....... I'm trying to focus on non-scale goals, but it's so hard not seeing it move!! How did you push through your stall???

Just keep doing what you're doing -- 45 pounds is great! There's a lot of superstition around how to break a stall, but the reality is that all you can do is stick with your plan and wait it out. Some people recommend only stepping on the scale once per week so it doesn't drive you crazy every day.

Right now, a week seems like an eternity, but when you look back 3 months from now, 6 months from now, a year from now... This stall will be a tiny blip on your progress. I'm in a stall right now, too, so I feel your pain, but I am over 150 pounds down from my highest weight!

weighing yourself is something I sort of dread. So I only do it once a week.

Stalls happen, sometimes for weeks or months. Most important thing is not to deviate from your plan. Just keep doing what your doing. I heard exercise , less carbs , more Water can maybe kickstart it. Even if that doesnt work its ok, just wait it out.

You just wait it and out and keep doing what you're doing. It might last 2 weeks. No worries. It all starts moving again. Hang in there.

If you measured yourself before you started or anywhere in your process....during your stall measure yourself...I did during my stall and it was amazing !! I realized the inches I had lost and it gave me new energy! :)

This too shall pass !

Knowing it happens made it easier for me to accept when it did. It’s just your body taking a breath to get used to all the changes you’ve been making.

I’d heard all the stories about upping or lowering your calories, changing your activity, etc. but I just stuck to my plan & I started to lose again. The first one lasted a week. I had a couple of what I called mini stalls where I’d lose less than my average loss across a week. My last one was my worst. One kilo off goal & I sat there for 2 & a half weeks. Longest 19 days in my life.

You’ll get through it & you’ll start to lose again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
