I know a lot of vets (2+ years out) who've used WW to deal with regain. Most of them seem to really like it!

I've done WW off and on for the last 20 yrs! Lost and regained lots of pounds. I was actually doing WW when I decided to have RNY. I was losing slowly and needed to get my BMI below 30 so I could have a hip replacement. I continued WW after WLS for the support they offer in addition to their meal plan. My WLS program only offers a support group meeting once a month and I needed more than that. The weekly meetings kept me accountable. The weekly weigh-ins showed me I was making progress and never had a stall. Now I'm a lifetime member. WW has really developed a livable program. It is easy to follow, incorporating WLS guidelines. I will be 2 yrs post WLS next week.

I’ve been on and off WW over the decade...and thinking of joining back at some point. I’ve kept my WLS very, very private, only hubby, and 2 close friends know. Wondering if others share their WLS at WW or can we just maintain our confidentiality there as well? That’s one thing holding me back from WW...feeling guilty🙄 not revealing my new tool, but truly? It should not matter, right? During pre-op with surgeon, I showed him over $1,000 in WW receipts over the decade-told him I always feared I’d be in real trouble if I ever stopped, but yo yoed for certain. After all that, achieving and MAINTAINING Lifetime would be very helpful to stay accountable.

@Lily66I didn't share at WW except with two friends that had the sleeve. I felt like I would be judged. There are people in my workshop that talk about their WLS. You would be surprised how many do both. Trust me, as long as you pay your money I don't think they really care what you are doing. WW is a tool, WLS is a tool. One can never have too many tools! Because I incorporate my WLS guidelines I find it easy to stick to WW. I did share about my plastics because that's a impossible to hide if you get good results. Plus, I told everyone that was my gift to myself for finally reaching goal!

Thanks, @lynnlovesthebeach. You nailed it, my concern is members of the group would judge, whisper, gossip, undermine in not understanding that we, too, still very much have to work at it. Many have gone to my local one for years and have become a tight group. The social aspect is not my interest and intent-it’s the accountability and frankly, they do offer quite healthy plans when you leave out sugar, processed foods. I may look into it soon. Thanks again🌟.

@shortsleevedTWW doesn’t tell you how much you have to eat. They tell you the max you should eat. You get a set number of points. I use my WLS guidelines to determine how much to eat. I get 23 daily points on WW but because I eat such small portions and so many WW “zero” point foods I rarely go over 10 in a day. The things I have on a regular basis, Protein Shake = 2 points, nonfat Greek yogurt = 0 points, chicken breast= 0. The amt of beef I can eat is usually only 3-4 points per serving. I have plenty of points left over at the end of the day and eat plenty of food.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
