Hello,

I have been drinking Protein Shakes as a meal supplement and I am having a hard time moving my bowels. What laxative will help me with flow in my bowel movement.

Miralax is a usual go-to and has helped me out. My doctor prescribed some Colace, but I found it largely ineffective when compared to Miralax. I also have had success with Smooth Move tea, which has a great taste, though it does tend to make my insides very talkative.

I take two stool softeners per day and drink Smooth Move tea most evenings. Unfortunately, Miralax did not work for me. I also tried Milk of Magnesia, and Dulcolax. The tea with stool softeners is my preference after all of my trials💩💩

Hope everything comes out ok! Pun intended😬

I also added Colace to my daily pill regimen. It has definitely helped...I'm afraid to do laxatives on a weekday!!

This is radical but I am two years out and eat three prunes with Breakfast. I haven’t needed laxatives or Colace in ages.

Go for a stool softener - much more gentle on your system. Remember, you’re not eating very much so your body doesn’t have as much waste to get rid of each day. If I hadn’t/haven’t been for two/three days I take a softener, like coloxyl, that night. Add some soluble fibre like benefibre to your diet (avoid the ones that swell in you tummy), keep your fluids up. And relax. Don’t force your self. The stress will bind you up more. Stick to a routine. Take a magazine, a device or a book in with you & let nature & gravity do their thing. Don’t let your body get used to depending on bowel stimulants to make you go. You will poop again 😁

You misunderstand my cryptic and leading question.

I asked if you dump. Diarrhea is part of dumping syndrome. Thus, if you dump you have a solution to your problem.

I dump. I have [rarely] added a sugar drink like orange juice to address Constipation. I only do it in the most extreme situations as playing with dumping is like playing with fire.

Good Luck,

Tek

Unfortunately they didn’t work for me. Waaah! Just remember one prune is one plum. So consider how many plums you’d eat & make sure you include them in your food log.

I track all my food, but thanks for your concern. I didn't get fat eating three plums a day.

It has hit me today, as I sit in my chair at work that I don't have my belly sticking out to where it would hit the desk. Oh and I can cross my legs more comfortably. It amazes me just how much I have loss in inches vs actual pounds, I have lost 24 lbs all together. But I believe in inches all over about 3 inches. I am noticing more energy and have pep to my step. My skin is a lot clearer. My watch band is shorter by 3 notches. the little things are what I am noticing. When I bend over I don't feel out of breath or I am going to fall over ( weeble wobble).
I am having a hard time with my sweet tooth, it is very hard to not want to get some ice cream or chocolate. Candy I can do without. I have no craving really for that, just chocolate and ice cream. I have gone as far as taking Popsicle and putting them in my mixer with almond milk and making like ice cream with that/ sometimes I have added un-flavored protein powder.
I feel better everyday. The energy is great to have with having younger kids and being able to have the energy to keep up. 😃

If anyone has any advice on how to make your stomach feel better after you eat something you shouldn't have or at too fast, I would GREATLY appreciate it!! It's painful on both sides of my abdomen (like to the point I'm doubled over and using a hot water bottle in addition to medicine) and I'm really nauseous (the thought or smell of food is 🤢).
