It helps so much to hear this. I just joined this forum this morning because I am so worried about my progress. Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences in this and good luck to us all!

hi all! I'm a little nervous about this myself. I lost almost 20 pounds in the first 3 weeks but now I'm at 7 weeks and I've only lost 3 more pounds since then. I'm starting to worry I'm doing something wrong : (

I've hit it too, I only weigh myself once a week on Sunday. The last two weeks I've lost a total of 3 pounds, whereas I lost around 20 pounds the first two weeks. I'm just going to keep on going and if I'm still stalling at my 8 week checkup then I will worry about it.

I haven’t had my surgery yet it’s next month but I am glad I know what to expect and to know that it will pass. I’ve already made up my mind to not look at the scale post op and I’ll just get my weight taken at my follow-ups. You have to remember there are other benefits to the wls and if your goal was to look good in a bikini or lose 60 lbs in a couple of months then of course you will be disappointed. My advice is to stop weighing yourself and follow the program the weight will come off.

I wanted to update! Stalls are real and frustrating but keep going and it will come off. I am now almost 6 months post op and have lost 45 lbs. I’m still losing slowly but the point is I’m still losing. Expect stalls and don’t compare your loss to others. I am off all meds and exercising 3 days a week...things I haven’t done in years!

I having the same problem I am on full liquids and I have a appointment and not meeting my goal is freaking me out

if you're following the program and have just been on full liquids, then you're fine. Some of us lose slower than others, and your surgeon should know that. The only time it would be a problem would be if you're going off plan, but it sounds like you're not. I was constantly behind the curve the whole time I was losing. It wasn't my fault - I was following the plan to a "T" - I'm just a slow loser.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
