I'm booked in for 22nd October in London UK! I'll be starting the pre-op diet on Sunday - slightly earlier than the 2 weeks by Consultant's advice. I'm very nervous about the operation, but definitely glad to have found the site. There's very limited information available from my dietitian - and a lot of gaps which I'll have to query with her - so am delighted to have so much experience to access on this site!

same date. ill start my diet on Mon i need this weekend lol

Same dates for me too! It's crazy to be drinking soooo much and yet so thirsty at the same time. I feel like my bladder is hating me right now but feeling great overall.

I feel you! Does your program allow meals at all? mine lets me eat 4 oz of lean Protein and veggies for dinner, and an egg or turkey slice for a snack. What I do is 3 shakes, space out 120 oz of liquid throughout the day and then dinner.

what are you bringing in your hosp bag?

Yes, one meal of 3 oz Protein, 2 1/2 cups of non starchy veggies and 3 Protein Shakes throughout the day and around 100oz of Water. I've been doing that same, three shakes and then dinner for my solids.

Gosh, I haven't even thought about that. Lol! My surgery center is 125 miles away and have been waiting on the insurance approval (which should come today as it's been two weeks since it was received).

What are you planning to bring? I suppose light weight clothes, phone and charger, bathroom stuff....I'm sure I am forgetting more.

Chapstick, YES girl! Totally would have overlooked that important necessity.

Where are you located? I'm in Nebraska.

Is anyone doing outpatient? I’ve read all these posts where people are staying overnight for days and I’m supposed to get up and walk out after my surgery is done! Is that weird or what? I’m less than 2 weeks away and I’m getting nervous!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
