Sounds like you are doing great to me, nothing only about it.

Everyone is different and so their weight losses will be different. For those of the same gender and similar starting weight some will have lost more, some will have lost less.

most of lose between 15-25 lbs the first month (a few more or less - but most are within that range), so you are doing just fine!

You are doing great! Try to remember that this is YOUR journey. I know it is very hard to refrain from comparing yourself to others, but it is important to know that everyone's journey is different. My weight loss has been very slow when compared to others, but that doesn't mean I haven't been successful. I wish you the best!

Thank you so much! I needed to hear that. Some days I wonder if it was even worth it but I do believe it was or will be!!

I am new here! 5 weeks post op and have only lost 26 lbs. Is that good or should I have lost more? I'm 39 years old 5'8" and start weight was 267

Sounds great. It looks like you had a slightly lower BMI to start with (around 37/38? ) Might be worth remembering that those with a lower starting BMI tend to lose slower than others with a BMI above 40, so dont freak out if your rate of loss slows a little after the first 6 -12 weeks.

I’m 8 weeks out and have only lost 25 pounds. I’ve stalled the past 2 1/2 weeks. 😔 I think we are all different but I started at 205 and I’m 5’ 3

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
