Hi Peaches,

I had 1/4 cup frozen mixed veggies (tiny cubes) and 2 ounces white fish. Chewed till it was pretty much liquid but i felt very hungry and ate it too fast then had 1/4 cup butternut squash Soup. It was all very low calorie but if I had waited I would have realized I was very full and not touched the soup. STUPID stupid stupid! I did not vomit or feel nauseated just unconfortable tightness. It is considered the "puree"" stage in the Weightloss Surgery for for dummies book and that is what my diet will be for 4 weeks.

Every doc is so different I find it really confusing. Feeling good today and sticking to the easiest pureed food ie: cottage cheese, sf applesauce, Soups. Hope I haven't screwed things up.

I hope it all goes well for you. I guess I am suprised that you are on the mushies this week when we were banded the same day. I know every surgeon gives different instructions, but I thought we were all on liquids the first week. I'm supposed to go till Wednesday (Doctor Appt day) on liquids before I can have mushies. But I started getting so hungry yesterday.

You're right, it is all very confusing.

My port pain lasted over 2 weeks. I think it eased up at week 3. I started walking on day 7po for 30 minutes every day. Then I started going back to the gym during week 3 po.

momof3- I have been drinking 100% whey Protein by EAS twice a day made with 8 oz. of skim plus milk. You get 34 grams of protein in each 8 oz. serving(skim plus had 11g and the protein mix has 23g). It is good in the vanilla flavor. I have not tried other flavors. I like the vanilla so I will stay with it until I am sick of it. LOL Hope that helps. Good luck to you!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
