Well guys I just wanted to report that yesterday's sleeve party was a success! I am back at home trying to sip; sip, sip, as much I can.

I was in by 7 and out by 6:15. I would like to thank all of you for support![emoji173][emoji173]

It's MY time!

Heyyyyy.......I was trying to figure out where to post it![emoji23] I was in by 7am and out by 6:15 and home by 7pm. The gas was trapped all over my body..especially the shoulders but that has now subsided! I've been sipping when I haven't been sleeping. Slept in my recliner...the bed was not going to work for me!
Water seems to stay down nicely as has the Premier Clear. I'm getting ready try some broth that I pre-made.

It's MY time!

Premier Clear Raspberry got me through those first weeks, so easy on the tummy and gets our Protein in, as did sleeping in the comfy, supportive recline.

CONGRATULATIONS, REST, SMILE, YOU DID IT!!🏆💝

Congratulations on your surgery date🙏🏽woohoo!
Mine is June 23rd.

But I wanted to comment on that dang Covid test.....😭😭😭😭😭😭 I had the test done three times due to a bad cough I’ve had for two months.
I cried like a baby and now my doctor’s office is tell me I’ll have to have another one before my surgery. 😱

Good luck & Many blessings on your surgery GOD is with you🙏🏽

Since being home. What are somethings that you wish you had or have that you find your self using the most in recovery?

The only thing that I'm using the most of is...lip balm. I tried some Gas-X for the first time today. I think I have prepared myself more for the full liquid and puree stages. I start the full liquid tomorrow. Right now I'm still on the clear liquid phase. And it's pretty bland.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
