Pain in Left Side Help!!

Recommended Posts

I woke up this morning with a stabbing pain in my left side it feels like a really bad side ache......like you would get sometimes as a kid.

It is on my port side and midway between my port and breast. It is more towards my back though.

It hurt really bad when I woke up it is not that bad now, but it is still there.....has anyone else had this?

I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow to have him check it out.

I was just curious if anyone else had had this happen to them.

I've never had the pain on the left side, but you DEFINITELY need to have it checked out...I'm glad you have an appointment tomorrow! Since my surgery I've had pain in my lower right side. I'm going to mention it at my next appointment, but wondered if anyone else had this?!?!

I am 4 weeks out and still get gas trapped under my ribs on the left. Extremely painful. I take a couple of the gas X strips and do what comes natural from both ends and it subsides. But its a good idea to have it checked out!!

If the pain gets any worse or you develope fever do not wait until tomorrow to see your doctor. Call his office or go to the ER. You are probably experiencing nothing serious but best not to assume.

I used the heating pad last night and went to bed and woke up this morning and it was gone.

I called the Dr and they said I did not have to come in as long as the pain was gone and if it came back just to call them back.

I feel fine tonight. I assume it must of been gas.

If you're still having the pain, try laying down on the side that hurts. That was the best gas tip I got.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
