2 Month update

Recommended Posts

Yesterday was 2 months for me. Still at 57 pounds down - been at 270 for a week now. Hovering between 270-272 depending on the day. I've been following my plan, tracking my food and everything but still no movement. This is my first true stall, the others were just slowdowns but I'd still lose a pound or two over the course of the week. It's incredibly frustrating. I hope I'm not one of those who lose 50-60 pounds quickly and just stop. I didn't do all this just for that.

Working out has been going good, hitting it at least 5 days a week. Lifting 3x and barre or walking the other 2 days. I plan to go home and walk 3 miles today and hope that helps my stall. I'll be INCREDIBLY mad if I hit Xmas at 270.

It will un stall (is that a word) been stalled a few times - but they let loose after about 8 days

I agree the working out is really doing the job I am on week 3 of cross fit and can already tell

There is no such thing as people not being able to lose weight. The only people who stop are those who:

a) Put themselves into starvation mode, and get a protracted stall while losing muscle mass.

b) Eat in you case, over about 2600 calories per day.

It's just math, and you have been doing great. But honestly you are at the weight now, that I started at, so there should be no difference between us from here on out, except you've got more practice 🙂

Ok - I'll hope for something tomorrow or on Xmas then! And of course this was preceded by a random drop from 274 to 270 last week so I'll just say it took me a week to actually lose that 4 pounds lol!

Thank you! Logically I know the math is there I burn 400-800 cals a day working out depending on what I do and I eat around 750 cals a day so it's just a matter of catching up and making it all work out!

Just like fluffy said. Stick to you plan. Stalls happen. It happened for me at about the same time. i was stuck and thought the surgery failed me. I think all of us at one point have had that doubt. No worries. Out of no where the weight will drop again. Its an even better feeling when you break a stall. So hang tough!!

Got on the scale this morning and saw 268.5! Had a nice 3 mile walk yesterday and I'm going to hit the gym today. Would LOVE to hit 267 this week and be at 60 pounds total. I'm also a good 2-3 weeks ahead of the goals needed to hit 250 before my Hawaii trip.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
