So many chest pains

Recommended Posts

I’ve been sleeved since 9/24/2019. To date I’ve lost about 107lbs. I never seemed to have any issues with food or anything for a while but lately for the pas few months I’ve been having bouts of severe chest pains. So bad I can hardly move. Often they are accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Can’t say that it’s what I eat because often times it comes after eating foods I’ve eaten the entire time since being sleeved like eggs avocado and I usually have no issues. This morning for example I woke up like this. I have had an endoscopy done which found no problems. Today I’ve tried taking an antacid and a gas pill and I’m finding a really no relief. I’ve been laying here in bed all morning with a heating pad trying to get it to pass. Doctors really have nothing to tell me. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

They haven’t even mentioned my gallbladder but they’ve done X-rays and MRIs and haven’t found anything concerning

An ultrasound is the best way to diagnose gallstones, but an MRI should have shown them as well if that were the cause of your pain. I hope they find an answer for you soon.

I would bet money that is your gallbladder. Ask for an abdominal ultrasound. That is almost identical to the symptoms I had.

I agree. This really sounds like your gallbladder. You need to insist on an ultrasound. Severe attacks can feel like a heart attack. Try to stay low fat on what you are eating until you can get tested,

goid luck and please keep us posted!

did your Dr also give you a script for omeprozole? ts could be heartburn from your surgery in the first 6 months you are more prone to that so you should have been given that rx right off the bat. i would insist you Drs check for the and gall bladder. fast weightloss like yours can def affect your gallbladder and kidneys and liver...

Hey everyone! A urgent care doctor finally said he believes I have biliary colic which I guess is a fancy term for gallstones but yet not a full blown gallbladder infection yet. Regardless he said it probably needs to come out.. and I have an ultrasound appointment Tuesday to confirm. Of course I tell my co worker and she says in gonna gain weight after I have it out. Who knows if there’s truth to that 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I continued to lose weight after having my gallbladder out. Tell her to butt out if she can't be supportive!

Just got my ultrasound results back. Multiple Stones. Thank you to everyone who suggested my gallbladder! 3+ trips to the ER and not one of those high paid doctors thought of it even though my chart said I was a Bariatric patient! Thank you all so much! Holding off to have it removed Jan 23.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
