I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS FILL REALLY WORKS. CAUSE I BEEN READING ON OBESITYHELP.COM THAT PEOPLE GET THEIR BAND FILLED WITH 0.5CC. I AM STILL REALLY HUNGRY AND I AM GOING FOR ANOTHER FILL THIS TUESDAY ON THE 27TH. SHE SAID THAT SHE DIDN'T FILL IT UP A LOT CUZ I WAS FEELING LIKE I HAD TO VOMITT 2 WEEKS AFTER THE SURGERY SO SHE WANTED TO MAKE SURE I DON'T FEEL LIKE THAT AGAIN. I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT IS A GOOD FILL SIZE THAT I CAN GET WHERE I WILL BE SATISFIED AND FULL WITH A SMALL REQULAR PORTION MEAL? I GAINED 2LBS IN LIKE 4 DAYS AND I AM REALLY UPSET CAUSE I AM COUNTING MY CALORIES AND EVERYTHING AND I AM EATING HEALTHY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT. THANKS!

Hi Karen.

2.4cc would be a lot in a 4cc band, but I am inclined to think with that size fill, you would have either a 10cc VG band or the (I think) 14cc AP band. In which case, it isn't a huge fill.

It will take time to get to your "sweet spot". Just make sure, that in the mean time you do as you are doing, eating healthy and exercising.

Don't stress over the 2lb gain. It's likely just re-hydration or some PMS type "Water weight" gain.

Welcome to LBT!

I went from 297 to 107lbs. No, I didn't make my band real tight, because I wanted to eat as "normally" as I could and still lose weight. I overhauled my diet completely, and fell in love with running. It took roughly 17 months to get to 135, and then another couple of months to get to 107lbs, and at that stage I had a total unfill, and I have maintained this weight ever since.

Hey Chicke that is great you must be so proud of yourself I was 227lbs when i 1st started out with the pre-op liquid diet and now I am 193lbs. I want to be 125lbs but I will have to work hard just like you did and like everyone is doing or did.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
