Congratulations best journey you will have - My advice is simple and it is posted everywhere on this site

The surgery is a tool not a solution, you need to get your head on straight and your plan, You plan includes your Protein, and most importantly your Vitamins and minerals. Be careful of all the marketing out there keep it simple, but keep yourself balanced. The head games are brutal so be ready and just post or ask.

I am four months out and I crashed bad read my long post, dont let this happen to you. Get ready for the comments, opinions, and change of lifestyle. It will be a great journey but it is not easy in the beginning - See below this is how prepared you want to be post OP 3 weeks. Do your research,

enjoy the ride and get this attitude F#@ck food

Thank you! I feel pretty good and as prepared as I can be, but I think I’m more nervous about the actual surgery itself. The biggest thing I’ve ever had done is my wisdom teeth out! Lol. I trust my surgical team so I just need to have faith. Thanks for your reply. I’ll check out your posts!

Simple thing i was rattled also - As soon as you meet the Anesthesiologist ask him to calm your nerves, he will give you a happy shot that will make you see Elvis! Then its get comfortable wheel you around and before you know it you will be in a room with a Nurse yelling breathe wake up - Wake up Breathe! The worse part for me was the wait till the happy gas came, Just look ahead 5 months and down 65 pounds - that will keep you motivated.

I only had a few little cuts the surgery itself was no bid deal -

Take this advise: Post surgery put on your cozzy clothes and get out of bed and walk walk walk, Then Sip walk walk walk - The faster you get moving the better the first 7 days are. I had some inside info and was walking the halls about 4 hours after surgery I was released by 9 am the next morning. Key is to get the air and gas moving around in your body. More you move the less pain and discomfort - Plus with the help of morphine NO pain and happy times

Congratulations again and will be a great journey

I will remember that. I'm not too nervous, but will never miss a chance for "better living through Chemistry"!😁

I totally understand that feeling of being excited and nervous at the same time. Causes "butterflies in my stomach". Wait, here's a question--if you get half your stomach removed for a sleeve, where do you feel your butterflies?? And if you get a bypass you technically have TWO stomachs-do you feel it in both, or which one??

You go in with the butterflies and the chop em out - Once they yank out 85% of you stomach they open it up let the butterflies out and remove all the debris and recycle the metals. In my case they need a 55 gallon drum for 52 years of **** eating and consumption. Found some cool stuff i had lost.

No above is not real - So do not panic

Has my final pre op appointment before surgery today, had final labs and met with anesthesiologist. The only thing that I didn’t like is the questions about loose or chipped teeth?!?!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
