Hi, I had my R and Y in 3/2014: I lost a lot of weight, however it’s been now tricking back... can figure out why!
So my BMI is like 27.5 and realistically I need to get off 33 lbs
My question?
Will tricker pay for the endoscopic gastric revision? Does anyone know what it costs? And will tricker pay for any revisions?
Thanks

Call your insurance company. Ask if they cover revisions and what is their criteria for approval.

You can’t figure out why you are gaining weight? Are you eating your bariatric food plan? Are you logging your food? Are you staying within your weight loss calories and macros? Exercise and hydration?

Your not alone in having a weight gain years out. (i also had it my third year and worked it back off) 33 pounds is easier to work off than a 50 70 or 100+ gain. If you want to go the revision route thats fine.

If your interested here are some links on this forum that may help.

Tricare’s website doesn’t list revisions as a covered service but it doesn’t....NOT say that. It just has “unlisted procedure” as a non covered. If you pick a DS procedure instead of another rny it may pay. Definitely call Tricare and see what they can do for you. 🤞🤞

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
