We are out of breath from our weight. If a cardiologist cleared you for surgery you'll be fine. Always think positive. Everything is going to work out just perfect no worries.

Thank you Linda this is exactly what I needed. Even in my exercise group we have this saying which is “remember your why” when we feel like stopping. This is my journey now and has been, there is no stopping me. Thank you for your words and congratulations on your October surgery date also 😊.

So how you feeling about your upcoming surgery tomorrow? I had mine on Monday and I feel great. Hope you're feeling better about it since we last spoke. Good luck tomorrow 🙏🏻

@linda72 - you and I are surgery twins. Sounds like things are going really well for you. Yesterday was absolutely awful for me. I would get these waves of nausea and vomit, but there was nothing there. It was really bad, but I feel so much better today. Went our for two walks this afternoon and actually finished a Protein Shake today. Will focus more on Water tomorrow. A little worried that my bowels aren’t moving yet ... yours?

Protein and fluids are mostly absorbed or passed in the urine. Probably not enough cumulative solids or Fiber to make a poopy yet. Tell your doc if it goes on a few more days.

Hi Ali. Yes by the grace of God things have been going exceptionally well. The only issue I had was slight chest pain Monday night in the hospital but I would describe it more like uncomfortable then pain. I started walking in the hospital as soon as I got to my room and continued to do so until discharge yesterday @4:30 pm. My surgeon and his entire staff stressed to me the importance of moving around so that gas would be gone as quick as possible. I did get a little nausea yesterday morning in radiology when I had to drink that nasty stuff for the xray. Once I got back to my room and had some tea the nausea passed. I can only have Clear Liquids for the next 2 weeks. One day at a time. I'm glad you're feeling better I hope it continues.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
