How far out are you? Have you lost a lot of weight? I found when I lost weight it increased my sex drive!

I'm 10 months out and lost 102 pounds
I've experienced this too. I'm 7 months out, 150lbs down and I feel like I have absolutely no sex drive at all. I don't feel much sexier or have much drive to do things lately.

I hear ya on that , it sucks
Agreed! I feel so guilty towards my partner, because it's literally all me. I feel like everything has been such a mess lately. Feel free to PM me if you need to talk!

It is amazing for fertility. The question I would like to ask is did you have a sex drive before weight gain?

For me personally, I've been overweight since I was 2 years old. I hit 300lbs by 12 years old and last summer I was 402lbs. I had a much higher sex drive at my higher weights than since my surgery. I'm 249 now and I'm still feeling blah.

I had no problem having sex before my surgery but I also had a few other surgery's that perhaps don't help I had a hysterectomy and a bladder lift as well and several others but those would not affect my sexual performance if you want to call it that

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
