My surgeon used dermabond to seal my wounds after surgery for nicer scars, but I thought it was going to fall off in a week or so and nothing.

Anyone else had to pick it off?

DO NOT PICK IT OFF! LET IT FALL OFF. Mine took three weeks!

It takes longer than that to fall off. By the time I went to my first appointment my doctor told me that by that time they were supposed to be all gone. So I got home and tried to take it off. DON'T DO IT lol, it really hurts and it's better if you just let then fall by themselves

I left them on until they fell off. That's what I was told to do. I figured the incisions needed all the time they could get to heal as even when they fell, one or more incisions were not completely sealed shut.

Let them fall off on their own

Mine stayed on for like 3 weeks. Keep them on there. They will fall off eventually

Try to keep them on. They hold the edges of the wound together. The less tension, the less scarring. My started peeling at 10 days and were gone by 20 days.

Mine just eventually disappeared on their own . . . I wouldn't pick them if I were you. Let them run their natural course.

On the small incision I picked it off after 10 days and they were completely sealed and healed by then. Now I have little dots on my belly!

Mine took 3 weeks to all come off, it was really hard to not pick it especially when the edges came up.

Don’t pick on it if you want nice scars. It should stay on for 7 days minimum but most times it will be around 3 weeks

I picked at it after 10 days when all the edge came up. I have very nice scars now that are getting massaged with Palmers for optimal smoothness.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
