The colour, the variation, the size... 💩 is a sensitive topic but we all do it...

So it’s been 2 weeks out of my surgery and
finally getting to have more firmer poops.

The problem is before they were very runny, and still are on the mushy side, but now they are more pale in colour almost to the point of yellowy clay like colour.

I have an appointment to see the dr covering for my dr and she is quite new out of college. I don’t think that she takes what I say quite seriously.

For example 2 weeks ago I told her that the nurse at the hospital said my heart was a bit tacky aka tachycardia. It continued on when I got home, and every once in a while it flutters.

I know it sounds like a panic attack but I’m quite sure mine isn’t... but anyways back to my poop...

So I know I know... don’t google your symptoms but I already know I have a gallstone issue but I haven’t been having any pain. I just did bloodwork so I imagine that if there is a problem it will come up on there...

Anyone know any remedies that have been working for you to firm up your 💩?

I needed Probiotics to get solid poops. They gave me antibiotics by IV in the hospital and I always need probiotics afterward.

My Dr said yellow, clay color is normal. He also said consistency varies among people. When I eat kale it turns really green. If I eat something a little fatty it appears greasy/oily.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
