Have you had your 2nd fill?

Recommended Posts

I have an appointment on December 10, to get my second fill.

The first fill worked pretty well.

For the first time in many years I actually lost weight over the thanksgiving weekend

I have had 2 fills and am calling tomorrow to schedule my 3rd a week earlier. I can eat whatever I want and it doesn't seem that I have any restriction. I would almost think I didn't have it, except that with raw broccoli tonight I didn't chew the first bite well enough and it was rough for a second.

I have only lost about 2 pounds since my last fill 2.5 weeks ago and my willpower is waning!

I too am having a problem with feeling full on a small portion. I am going in for my 3rd fill wednesday dec. 5 and hope to notice a change as it is becoming somewhat discouraging and worrisome.I've heard it can take several fills to be full after eating a small portion. good luck to you

I just got my 2nd fill and oh, boy I am very restricted.. I can barely eat anything-it is about 3 bites and that is it-liquids go down fine though. so even though I am having a hard time adjusting to not eating, this may be what they have been talking about all along.I am shocked this happened so early not sure if it will last but we will have to wait and see.

I had my 2nd fill on Nov. 26. I can tell a pretty significant difference. I eat about half of what I was eating before....on my first fill I could not tell any difference. liquids go down easily all the time....but I now am starting to have more of a problem with breads and some meats. I actually have to chew now...before I could eat normally, now I have to chew meats and some of the more troublesome food to mush. I have already scheduled my 3rd fill for Dec. 17th....maybe that will be my "magic" one.

I just had my third fill and i am very tight. I can only eat a few bites at a time. I stay tight all the time so i just have to be careful and go really slow. I am losing two to three pounds a week. Donna

Those who have had your second fills, are you noticing any difference? I have my second one next week and I'm really hoping for a big change. I can eat as much as I could before the band most of the time. What makes me mad is that when I eat junk food (chips and such) these things fill me up quickly but when I eat the stuff that is good for me and that I am supposed to be eating such as oatmeal, Protein, etc, I rarely feel full. What's up with that? Well, I was just wondering if your second fill helped more than the first for any of you. Thanks.

Hi Mandi,

Just had my second fill yesterday.

Down 33lbs, all I eat is junk food, good food does not agree with me yet. AI get sick everytime I try to eat meat....

My weekly martini goes down just fine too.

I had my third fill three weeks ago (surgery Sept 11th, first fill Oct. 31st). I was way tight for the first week, but the swelling went down and now it is PERFECT! I am glad i DIDN'T get any taken out - I waited a week to see if the swelling went down and it did. As long as I was getting fluids adequately, I opted to wait and see and it paid off. Can't eat dry, hard Protein at all and no breads, yay!

I am losing 3 pounds plus a week.

I actually had my third fill on Dec. 12th. I haven't had much restriction at all, and to my surprise I was informed at my third fill that I have the new "Realize" band, which takes longer to get good restriction. It has less chance of slipping and eroding so I am glad of that. I do notice a difference with this fill though.

I got my first fill in November. I still have restriction. I can eat different amounts at different times it is weird. I can eat most anything I want but like today I had to stop at 1/3 of a veggie wrap. Tonight I had half a taco at the restaurant. My husband is so glad I have turned into a cheap date!!! I was 203.6 this morning....onederland here I come!!! Haven't seen that in a long time. I hope to be there maybe by Christmas or at least by Jan. 1. No resolutions this year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I had my 2nd fill on December 10 for a total of 2cc's in a 4cc band and I have good restriction.

I have been on vacation the last week and have not had access to a scale so I will be interested to see if I have remained the same.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
