Quick Question... I could ask my Dr. but my next call with him isnt until end of Feb, and I do not feel this is an emergency LOL

Does anybody know when they typically run labs? Is each Dr. Different? How do we know when they decide they are going to run labs and how often? LOL... I feel like i am almost at 3 months and its time for other things to happen that are different now that i am progressing along.

Any thoughts appreciated.

With my new insurance they told me the run them at 6months but since I am new to their program they are running mine now (I'm not even 3 months yet) they messed up and didnt tell me 2 of them had to be fasting even though I called to double check so I had to change my appointment with them so I can go back to the lab and get the last 2 tests done (B vites I think)

I had mine checked probably a month after surgery, then 3 months, then 6, and I'll have them checked again before my 1 year follow up.

I haven't even thought about labs yet. I'm just 6 weeks post-op. I'd like to see any improvements in bloodwork in about 3 months

They told me they will do them at 6 months, but I would feel better if they did them at 3 months, I'm hoping they will honor that request. I want to see if I am doing ok on Vitamins.

I had my labs done a week before my 3 month post-op appt so the Dr. would have the results. When I left that day the doctor gave me my lab orders for my 6 month appt. which I will have done a week in advance.

I just had my first post op appointment today and was told they will do blood work at 6 months, 1 year and then once yearly.

I did 1month, 3months, and just had 6month labs done.

I’m sure they’ll do them at 9 months, because my 6 months showed I was low on a few things.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
