Thoughts on any of the Inspire products? I know this is Bariatric Pal and they have their own store.. I was just looking for an Eggnog Protein Powder LOL.. but not sure between the two sites. I do not have enough information about either one or the other. I know there are many different brands and i really dont want to go all out buying something i may not like.. If this post isnt allowed please delete.. I am not promoting one brand over the other.. just trying to do a little research LOL

THanks

I haven't tried their Eggnog flavor, but I've tried several: vanilla, Cafe Bella, Orange Cream, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Unflavored. I hate the Vanilla and the Orange Cream—both of them were awful. The Orange one actually tasted fine to me, but had a terrible smell, so it was hard for me to get past that. The Ice Cream Sandwich one was okay, but lacked in flavor. The Cafe Bella is supposed to be a vanilla latte, with a hint of cinnamon, but for me, the cinnamon was overbearing, so I didn't like it. The Unflavored is fine, but it's the only unflavored powder I've tried, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I like that I can customize it to make my own flavors. I was really excited to try Inspire, but I doubt that I'll try their Protein powder again.

I'm not a big fan of the egg nog powder from Inspire, but the Cafe Bella, which is the other I've tried is super yummy. I'd pass on their egg nog, personally.

I bought the variety pack of Inspire. Pre-surgery, I thought they were okay. Post surgery, my tummy is loving them. I really like the Peanut Butter cup as it tastes like a reese's. Waiting til I get paid to buy more! They are expensive but really yummy. I'm curious to how the cannoli one tastes like.

Unjury chicken Soup flavor is quite delicious as well. If you are looking for Protein Soups.

The Inspire brand mixes so easily and no clumping problems. I like the vanilla, cafe amore, the Buttermint (which is seasonal and out of stock right now), the Peanut Butter cookie and I love the also seasonal pumpkin pie. I also love the beef stroganoff Bone Broth. I did not like the Mexican chocolate or Blueberry Cheesecake. The regular chocolate cake flavor was alright.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
