well done with the 12 pounds!!!

I had the Lap Band put in so slightly different but I made a friend in hospital someone who had the sleeve and it has been great as we both went in same day and able to spend the few days after walking the halls together and we text nearly daily with updates of new information we find out about ourselves.

There will be days where you wake up and feel great - and no issues or anything and there will be some days where the body is not feeling it and to which you may feel you're going backwards. being 3 weeks out, definitely listening to my body has been the biggest lesson! and my sleeve friend has found the same too. Both finding some days we aren't hungry some days we are - She has found she can tolerate Pasta some times and some times she can't.

Take it as a positive that you're feeling normal and doing everything right by what has been advised :) people are more likely to post issues than complements too don't forget :D

Yes, I've felt great since surgery. I'm not quite 2 months out and I'm down nearly 70lbs. I think you just had an easy recovery and that is great. I hope it continues for you, me, and everybody else. So far only heavy, dry meats have given me any discomfort and that was very mild. Just make sure to not introduce too many things at once. That way, if something doesn't sit well with you, it will be easier to pinpoint the problem food. Congrats so far.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
