Stop stepping on the scale EVERYDAY! I weighed this morning and will weigh on the 9th for my over the phone consult with my doctor ( I am not driving 3 hours for a 15 min doctor visit LOL) and then i am going to try weighing on the first of each month ( that is the ultimate goal) going foward. I am going to try and start weekly i guess. I dont know LOL i just know i need to stop stepping on it every day.

Sporadically using a wifi scale has done very good things for my sanity. Something about it being tracked in an app without any intervention from me makes it easier not to obsess over the numbers. Also the app puts it into a trend line, which is very grounding: I can see that I had an unusually sharp loss at the start of the month, so this "stall" is probably just catch-up. Or I can see that even though I feel like I'm not losing right now, the trend line is still steep.

I get on the scale maybe three times a week. I'm vaguely interested in the number that shows but it doesn't stick in my brain, and I can just wait until I'm in a better/more motivated/interested headspace to actually open the app and check progress.

I dont focus on the numbers really, unless i am on a stall and want to see when it moves. But overall The numbers are just that. As long as i am doing what i am supposed to be doing i know it will change in the right direction.

I HATE SCALES!!! All those years that I felt so humiliated getting on the darn things. Weight Watchers, TOPS NUTRSYSTEM more than 2 or more times. Dr. Appointments. I HATE scales did I say that before? LOL But after my RNY it was exciting to weigh 1 time a week. Always on Monday morning. I found out that I can refuse to weigh when I go to the DR, so guess what it has kept me off the scales for 9 months at least. Until the last appointment, she asked me to weigh!! NOPE I told her I would next appointment. I know I am still maintaining between 125 & 130. I JUST HAVE PANIC ATTACKS ABOUT THOSE DARN SCALES!! I'm sorry I got off the wall about them!! I would just say weigh 1 time a week and at ur DR's

Agree, every day is too often imo. I step on about once a week.

I’m doing twice a week. Mostly so I can plug it into my app!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
