So I’m on my 5th day post op of being sleeved second day at home and I’ve heard all kinds of noises from my stomach, has anyone else experienced this? Also the indigestion right now feels unbearable. I’ve been using papaya extract as recommended but I feel like I need more. Any suggestions? Lastly what methods is anyone using to get the required 64 oz in without feeling pain? I feel like I’m running out of time and find myself rushing and it’s so painful. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Angie

The noises are natural, you will get use to it. Did your surgen prescribe any stomach acid reducing meds for post op? This should help with any acid reflux or indigestion issues.

For Water, I typically have a big water bottle that I can around, I a generally sipping all day.

Thank you so much. I was prescribed an antacid as well but it doesn’t seem to be helping. It makes me feel better knowing these things are normal and will improve.

If the antacid isn't working talk to your surgeon there is likely something else they can prescribe for you

I am 5 days too! My biggest issue is crushing pills and getting them in- antacid they discharged me with us delayed release and I though we were told but to take that...???? But I have been opening the capsule and sprinkling it in sugar free Jello. The Vitamins and my regular meds have been tough too. Doing my best with Water and Protein - have not hit the goal yet.. but every day gets closer-

Hi, they sell a pill crusher at Walgreens or CVS, I crushed my meds for 2 weeks and I put it in Sugar Free Chocolate pudding, I could not even taste the meds, In the beginning I bought chewable vitamins.

It's hard at first but just do the best that you can and it will get better for you in a few weeks.

Hang in there ladies ((hugs))

I got a pill cutter at CVS, I can't believe they also wouldn't have a crus her. I lucked out, Ohio State gives every Bariatric patient one as a gift. Has the Ohio State symbol on it but I don't mind that!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
