Venus

Did anyone see Venus this morning? It was shining soooo brightly. Just gorgeous!

I was taking a walk before sunrise and I was shocked at how brilliant it was. Didn't recognize it as Venus because it was so bright. Had to google it.

No, I didn't have my phone with me. But my hands are so shaky the pics would have been a blur anyway ☹️

Sure it was beautiful, that's why it was named after Mythology's Most Lovely Goddess.

Did it look like the Christmas star by any chance? (and why are your hands shaky?)

Yup! Christmas star! Kept looking around for the wise men, but I guess (being wise) they were all still asleep 😉

My hands have always been shaky. Good thing I didn't aspire to be a surgeon!

Hey will you get someone to take a pic and post it for us here? I keep trying to find (we didn't take pics in those days) an image of the night sky during 1974 or 1975 Christmas. A HUGE Christmas "Star" was in the sky and burned through the day. It was so close to earth and so bright. I remember we all would stand at the window or outside and look up at it. There were several programs about it at different churches too. Supposed to be the conjunction of a few planets/stars maybe? Can't find anything about it now. So would be totes cool if it's happening again. I will look for Venus tonight!

Nope, gotta get up early. Apparently, it's been very bright for a while now, but I haven't been taking my pre-dawn walks since the last surgery.

NBD, I'm used to it. If I plan to take pics, I bring a tripod.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
