No no. 2 in 2 weeks

Starting to get a little worried about my bowels.. I had surgery two weeks ago today.. and I haven't gone no. 2 since I think two days before the operation. I take a stool softener daily but still nothing.. anyone deal with it taking this long to use the bathroom?

  • How's your water intake? Are you taking the narcotic pain meds? If you aren't getting enough water, this can be a cause. If you are taking the narcotic pain meds, that's another potential cause

If you aren't getting enough water, this can be a cause. If you are taking the narcotic pain meds, that's another potential cause. If you are not getting enough water AND are taking the narcotic pain meds, that's going to pretty much guarantee issues.

Please call your doctor soon, this long and while taking a softener is concerning.

Crap!!!!...

Third vote to call the doc office!!!!

Muralax!

I’d call your doc. My surgeon did tell me to expect my bowels to be all over the place for the first few months. Are you passing gas?
