Apparently I'm single and should start thinking about dating again.

Where are people meeting each other these days?

I went through the thread and flagged the chats where I mentioned health info (so super careless of me ... this site is not closed to members only & honestly I would hate if someone did it to me) If portions of the conversation are removed, that's why...

Glad the date when great!!!!! Wooohoooooo! Look at you! You're a dater!!!!

I think the “is it because I’m visually appealing” question is tough, but I totally get it. Someone else mentioned we all have types, and this is true, I’m sure many of us have noticed being treated differently the closer we get to physically looking “socially acceptable” and it is a bit of a mindf$&@! for sure!

Keep in mind- the physical side is only part of the equation when it comes to dating. Sure- your appearance may have been the cause of their initial interest, but it’s the inner stuff, the personality, that keeps interest. I mean, I think flowers are beautiful, but I can’t hold a conversation with one. ?
I would say skip online dating and have fun. You’ll meet some of the most amazing people unexpectedly just by doing hobbies you love. I accidentally met the love of my life after wls that way. I’m not against online dating or anything, i guess my suggestion would be- take some time to date your self instead of going into it with a full blown purpose if that makes sense. Who knows, you may even meet your match randomly at whole foods or the gym or something.

Sorry you’re going through that hun, view it as the right door closing and a better one about to open. ?

Don't overthink things...it's the total package that he's interested in. You're very intelligent and beautiful. Besides you have no plans on going backwards. Enjoy and allow yourself to be treated like the queen that you are. You deserve it ?

Incidently you always have been pretty, maybe more to the surface now, but the guy who wins your?will be a lucky dude, all of us who followed your story know that for a fact!

So... Friend zoned (I was the zoning committee, Just didn't feel quite right so I asked to remain friends for now)

BUT

I randomly meet two people out in the wild. The first one at a local Food Co-op, the second while with Friends. I'm opt-in for door #2 I think...

This is work... I'm tiredt

Keep workin' it girl!!!!! So dang proud of you!!!

I feel you, this whole “dating” thing is a lot of work, especially mentally. I’m down about 130 pounds and the confidence I feel is really high until I start considering a future. (Clothed, I feel I look amazing. Thinking of being with someone intimately scares me to death!)

Hahahaaha! Two words:

Dark Rooms

LOL, it reminds me of an episode of Cougar Town where Courtney Cox's character had to "control" her environment for "beneficial viewing" merits. :)
