I'm only 4 days post op. I'm on liquids for 2 weeks, then purees 2 weeks, followed by soft foods 2 weeks. I already know my first soft food is going to be refried Beans.

Sounds so good 😊 My Doctor program is a little more intense I think..... Clear Liquids for 10days, full liquids for 4weeks, puree for 5weeks and then soft food. Still on liquids lol

I was 2 weeks post op on 8/16 and I was on clear liquids for 2 weeks then on to puréed food for 2 weeks. My first “meal” was a scrambled egg. Since then I’ve had puréed cooked carrots, mashed potatoes and turkey meatloaf plus some soft cheese (Babybel or Laughing Cow). My boyfriend even made ribs last night and I puréed them. Probably not the best choice because of the fat. I move to soft solids in 2 weeks then mechanical solids for 2 weeks then all food at the 60 day mark.

When I was able to do the pureed foods I just didn't have the taste for much of anything, so I did mostly creamed Soups and scrambled egg here and there. Solid foods have been much easier but WOW do I fill up quickly!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
