I had my surgery in 2011, I have regained 18 lbs, which don't seem like alot, but I feel every pound of it, I am currently on liquids doing a reset, as I figure, losing 15 lbs, will be easier than 40, If I don't take control now, I know it will continue to rise. Stay strong everyone, we can do this. I will get this extra weight off, it is not about the number, it is how we feel. Just came back to the board after being gone for so long and looking for the support I got when I first had my surgery. Stay focused everyone, we can do this.

It'll be 5 years in September 2021. Wow. For a long time I practically knew how many days it'd been since surgery, but tonight I had to actually stop and think about it, and check with my husband. I checked back in because I am having awful pain after eating and decided to look around and see if anyone has anything similar. I'm measuring, avoiding drinking around eating times, avoiding carbs but I either have unbelievable acid fumes spewing from me or just pain. ANYHOW... I gained about 10 pounds this year, thanks to a weird knee issue and my gym being closed due to Covid. And beer/wine. I am still eating at about the right amount, less lately due to the pain I have after eating. Honestly never had a vomiting problem until about 2 months ago, now I vomit maybe once or twice a week. Anyhow... mostly I am happy and good, although I'm about to go back on Protein Shakes for a week to see if I can shake a few pounds off and get some control over the pain issues. OH and I ordered a recumbent bike today...

Also just saw my profile. 183 was as low as I got... never could get below that.

2 months shy of 2 years. Happy with my weight loss but struggling with GERD and may need a revision. Currently undergoing testing.

How severe is your GERD and what is involved with a revision? I am having horrifying reflux almost every evening and throw up probably 3 days a week. I am over 4 years post surgery and didn't anticipate any of this happening!

It's similar for me. I've had a sore throat since December. I take two PPIs plus an H2 daily. Often take zofran due to the nausea and vomiting. I eat a very limited diet right now to try to keep it all in check. Endoscopy showed reflux and gastritis. My gastroenterologist sent me back to my bariatric surgeon. Saw my surgeon last week and he said the next step is upper GI xrays to make sure the endoscopy didn't miss anything. I have a lot of rashes from excess abdominal skin and was hoping I could starting looking into skin removal this year but I guess not now

Looks like I first got on here in 2013. Just recently downloaded the app. Lapband since 2002. Very happy with results, no side effects. Would love to chat with some fellow veterans of WLS.

Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
