August 2018 sleeve surgery!!

Recommended Posts

Hi, my husband is going for surgery this Tuesday. I might have mine also in August but still no date, last week or the one before the last, guessing and waiting for insurance approval. Now I have to focus on my baby and today we were shopping for the clear liquid diet! Our surprise has been the amount of products that claim being healthy and have almost 2000 on sodium 😱! It’s been a little confused to navégate in this page. I hope with just this group I can manage it better and then teach my husband how to get involved since I am sure will be needed as his support group! Hi to everyone front Texas!

Had mine last August (2017) and I wish each of you a successful surgery and good health. August is a great time to get the surgery. By the time the holidays roll around you'll have figured out your food plans and you won't feel as if you're missing out.

Just joined and new here! Surgery scheduled for Aug 20th and starting to get super nervous. Just ordered my Vitamins today. Looking for support and lots of ideas for food that isn't disgusting. Is anyone else having surgery as an outpatient? I coasted through my 6 months of classes thinking I would be staying overnight if not two nights to learn that my doctor does the sleeve as an outpatient!

Hi all :) My surgery is Aug 6th so I will be preparing the house and getting everything ready for me to come home to after surgery this weekend. I have been kind of nesting already if that makes sense. I just know I will worry about something needing to be accomplished if I don't do it all now. I think i'm more worried about that then surgery lol!

I'm August 6th 11:30 am as well. I'm trying to prepare for after surgery with clean laundry, and a clean house.

August 6th surgery date here. Starting my week-long liquid diet tomorrow.

I thought I would spend this weekend saying goodbye to my favorite foods and restaurants and I just haven't felt like it. I am just ready to get the surgery done.

I'm 8/6 as well. Good luck or many blessings.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
