Is anyone documenting their Journey on YouTube?

Recommended Posts

Hi All: Is anyone documenting their journey on YouTube? I love watching videos of weight loss surgery patients documenting their process. I'f you are, could you share your "channel" as I'd love to subscribe to you if you're doing this? I took a few videos first for myself as I think it will be great to look back on a year+ from now. Then, I decided I'd go ahead and share publicly as the ones I've watched of others have been a tremendous help to me. I'm not good at talking (much better with a keyboard) but oh well. It's kind of fun and I think will keep me motivated along the way.

@Trixie82 - You're a sweetheart. Thank you so much for subscribing! I can't believe I'm doing it but I think it will hold me accountable to make regular updates. Also, I'm so grateful for all those that have shared their journeys via video. I have binge watched so many and feel encouraged and educated on what's to come week by week.

not much into the youtube stuff, I took pictures wearing the same thing, standing in the same position and put them side by side in one picture. I have about 4 or 5 months (6 different pictures). I don't want to pollute this topic so if you or anyone else is interested in my pictures private message me and I will share them.

Congrats on your surgery @losingtolivewithjen!!! Yay! You're going to love YouTube. It's such a great community and when you post regularly it really helps keep you accountable. I'm going to sub to you! I'm in maintenance now and have been posting weekly videos since pre-op. I'm 1 lb. away from my ultimate goal!! :) I'll be doing a big giveaway/celebration when I hit goal which I think will be this weekend. Swing by my channel, and check out! I'm sooooo excited. This journey has been and IS amazing. @ItzBing - CONGRATS on being a week and a half post op. Your starting surgery stats are similar to mine. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
