June 2018 losers bench

Recommended Posts

@pearldrop so no infection, yeah ! But 3 out of 6 incisions are open - healed inside but they are not closing any time soon. So I need to go back to the clinic every two days so they can check for infection and change the bandage. Oh well. How was your day back at work ?

How is everyone doing ? Are you all losing like crazy ?

Add me to the losers bench! My rny was done this morning. It was pretty rough when I first got out of surgery but now I'm feeling much better. Sipping Water and Decaf hot tea. Been walking around the floor. Napping a lot thanks to the pain pump lol. Hoping I can bust outta here tomorrow. I already miss my bed.

@charlotte0606 I hope they can do something to help you heal.

First week back at work has been great. I feel so energised and have heaps of energy. The purée phase is going well, my nutritionist wants me on 800 calories a day and I’m meeting that with my 3 meals and coffee.

I am having to remind myself to eat as I’m not hungry and to have my lunch at a slower pace to stop the burbs lol. We have a snack bar that sits behind me at work and I no longer even want the chocolate or chips which is great. I feel like my Labrador brain has been removed instead of my stomach!

Hello June Losers Bench how is everyone going?

Weigh in day today and I’m down 8.1 kilos. So happy with my loss, and hope it keeps up.

I’m weighing myself on the 30th of each month, I am hopeful this will help me avoid the stalls we see with weekly weigh ins. Once I’m at goal I’ll switch to weekly for maintenance.

I have to keep reminding myself to eat and drink now that I’m back at work. I don’t feel hungry and am keeping to my calorie & Protein targets.

I had my surgery 6/26 and got home 6/28. I’m down 6lbs in less than a week. Had a little nausea in the hospital, but so far so good with eating puréeds. Only complaint is a pain on the left side right under my rib cage. It’s fine if I don’t overdue. Went grocery shopping today and had to take something to take the edge off but it’s manageable. So far so good.

My surgery was 6/21, felt awful after waking up. The gas pain and the left side hurts bad, maintaining pain management with norco. I feel and know I made a good decision and that in time my social life can maybe restart and I can enjoy life again.

I had gastric bypass surgery on June 28th and actually GAINED 10lbs post op. So I’ve been working on getting rid of the gas weight. Lost 5 of the 10lbs gained from surgery. I’ve been doing okay with liquids. Finally got 60g of Protein in today so I was proud of that. This is definitely a process but I think I’m doing great with it so far. Can’t wait to see myself getting healthier and fitter

Sorry about the nausea, I gained like 10lbs from the fluids. I am now 1lb under my preop weight and haven’t lost anything. Still feel great though. Hopefully you get over the nausea soon

I had my 1 month follow up last week and lost a total of 24 pounds since the start of my liquid diet. i was a little bit disapointed but the whole team was very pleased so I will listen to them. I have my first appointment with my personal trainer this week so I am definetely looking forward to that. My incisions are also finally healed, yeah !

Today is my first day back to work. I'm 2 weeks out from surgery (6/26). I'm down 15lbs, since the surgery. Still a little pain on the left side but all in all I can't complain. Eating and drinking fine though I'm probably not drinking enough. Looking forward to getting back to the gym, but I'm giving the left side another week to feel better. I feel like I"m constantly thinking about what I should be eating, drinking or Vitamins. i can't wait for everything to become the new normal and not require so much thought.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

You're doing awesome! I just returned to work too. Lots of left side pain and I hit the 3 week stall. :) So glad I knew about it so I can make it through this week and hopefully begin losing again.

Ugh! 2 weeks? I'm so sorry! I have literally weighed the exact same since Saturday. Not an ounce more or an ounce less. So strange to me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
