I'm done...I made it

Hey everyone,

Well, I made it thru banding yesterday. It hurts, of course I expected it to. It's not excruciating, but it still hurts. I'm just sipping fluids and resting...just thought I would check in and let everyone know I made it

Carol, I came home at around 5, same day. It took them forever to release me becuase their computers went down, and she couldn't do anything! So I walked the halls, and everytime I passed the nurses station I asked if I could leave yet...

I am so glad to hear everything went well Patty. I was feeling really good yesterday but today has been a little worse for me. I'm having pretty sharp pains in my left side. Keep drinking those liquids and walking much as possible. We will be feeling better in no time!

Congradulations, prayer to you for a healthy recovery. I look forward to your reports as the days go on. I will be banded on November 8th.

Hi Patty:

So glad to hear you are done and on the road to recovery!! Only 7 more days for me...:) I am anioxus to get it done and over with. I am not lookoing forward to my clear liquid 4 8 days straight...:)

Keep walking and drink plenty of fluids and your Protein for the energy, you will feel great in no time.

Yes congratulations! Keep on smiling, I will be getting banded in January '08! They say it's not an emergency, I wish I was already banded, but I know I have to be patient.

Best wishes to an easy and quick recovery!

Take good care,

Stevie

Can someone help me get the slider onto my messages? I made it but it won't show up. Thanks.

I have tried twice to "practice" doing the liquid diet because I have to do it for 10 days before surgery. I have not been able to stick to it. Maybe it will be different when I have no choice. I seem to be eating more right now too, I don't know if it's nerves or because I know later I won't be able to eat. Anyone go thru this?

Congrats and welcome fellow bandster. I had my band on 10/30/07 and still sore but doing better. The liquid diet is hard but I was able to eat yoplait and soup and keep it down. I return to work on Monday and a little nervous about that. Hang in there!:clap2:

I went through that just before I had my band. I felt like I had to have all the last supers before my band. Don't worry do what you can. It will help if you at least try a full day on liquids before the surgery so you will know you can do it after the surgery.
