I am so glad I decided to stop here tonight! These pictures are sooo inspiring. {I think my restriction is going away.....at least that's the way it felt this weekend. My dr won't do a fill until I get back from my cruise (she didn't want to take the chance of me getting ill, etc while on the waters). So, no fill until June 3.} Anyway, seeing these pix have given me the motivation to stay on track with food and exercise. Everyone is looking wonderful. So much lighter....and I'm not talking "lighter" in terms of weight. There's a whole new lightness to everyone.....! And, Frangi.....that view is amazing! The perfect backdrop for your amazing new look! And, yes, I agree....love the shoes! Have you always lived in the Virgin Islands? I've never known anyone who lived in paradise!!! And RubyJade....wow....you look so much younger! And, if I dare say this---the smile in your "before" pix seems forced. The smile in your "after" pix seems so natural!!

Congrats to all!!

Awwwwwwwww thank you for the kind words, guys  I didn't realize I look SO different until I saw these pics side by side............. my husband walked in while I was posting them and couldn't believe it was the same girl!! (for the record he married me before surgery so it's not like he never saw me back then, he just hadn't seen me looking that way in a long time) :-)

Yay - a picture of Frangi! You look AMAZING!

Sorry I didn't check it out sooner, but I've been a tad distracted this week. I'll have to get a nice in progress pic of myself in my new nifty neighborhood once I get there NEXT WEEK - can you believe it?! :-)

Hi Candle,

Wow! What a difference!!! You look fabulous!!!!

I don't know how tall you are, but I'm guessing that you are a shorty like me (5'4''), and I think we petite chicks need to drop down into to 30 BMI range to really starting noticing the difference. The advantage to that is once we start dropping below this, every pound we drop thereafter makes a HUGE difference. I have dropped several pounds since I took my picture, and when I look at that picture now, I can see the difference.

Congratulations on your wonderful progress!!!!

Hi All! As promised, I'll post one of my pictures from the drive out to CA last week. This one was taken somewhere in the middle of the Rockies, on day 2 of our drive from Minnesota. The second one is from 4 Corners Monument.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
