What’s a mini goal you have set or have achieved?

Recommended Posts

Aside from you know living longer and being healthier and all that good stuff I’m sure we all have little things we have to look forward to. For example I would like to be able to go to theme parks again. I remember the last time clear as Day. July 2011 I went to Six Flags Great Adventures with my friends and brother. It was early in the day and I was on line for the Superman ride and I remember being next and trying to get on and the seat wouldn’t click twice & the guy had to tell me to get off. It was one of the worst feelings ever & ive never been to a park since. So as I chip away to my goal I’m looking forward to not being worried about if I fit or not. So what are some of your mini goals are highlights you are looking forward to?

I have had a series of small goals - most I've met so far but some I'm still working towards. Here are a few of mine:

1. weighing less than a linebacker before the 2017 NFL season started (done!)

2. being able to sit in chairs at work without worrying about breaking them (done!)

3. fastening the seatbelt on an airplane without needing an extender (done!)

4. buying pants in a 'normal' store instead of a plus size store (done!)

5. running a 5k, 10k and mini-marathon (still working on it...)

Getting off blood pressure medication. It happened about six weeks after WLS. It's not been more than three years since surgery. I've gained some weight back but still don't need blood pressure medication!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
