Thanks for your responses :biggrin: I think I'll see if they ask about it and go from there. They are a good friend, but we still have a bit of a weird friendship - close in some ways and not in others. Its hard to explain....I find it REALLY strange that they spent SO much money on me though, and if the receipt was left in there so I could exchange it, it probably would have been less confusing for me if they said so? Perhaps??

My husband thinks I should just gracefully accept it and put it with all the other "not me" jewellry I've received over the years....but I feel like thats a waste of my friends money.

I have just gathered up all my old jewelery and I am taking it to get money for it. Gold is $900 and ounce now and they will weigh it. I'll let everyone know how much I end up with. Most people are getting at least $400-500 from jewelery they don't like, or have one of the earrings missing, etc. They take 10K and 14K.

Hehe me, too. I loved, loved, loved my statistics classes. I love school in general, though. I am (finally) finishing my bachelor's and then doing a master's before I decide what's next. I am so excited, I graduate December 4 and, so far, with a 4.0!! =)

Jaime et al - with as much respect as I can imply, yes yes you are nerds! I have an MBA and do finance for a living and couldn't get excited about econ even after a total of 6 classes (undergrad+grad). But as my father says, that's why God made chocolate ice cream...b/c not everyone likes vanilla. (Meaning: we each have our usefulness on this earth! Thankfully mine wasn't doing econ or anything blood related!) :biggrin2:

I just want to post that I am the worst fucking mother ever. My girls are gone and I killed 4 guinea pigs today by accident and I am sure they will hate me....How do I fix this???

I was cleaning the house and put them outside. I had no idea it was so hot. I no longer get hot at ALL so I had no concept that it was too hot for them. I left them out there for about an hour. I roasted them all. I hate myself right now. The girls will never forgive me, I won't either.
