Sleeve or Bypass with GERD?

My surgeon said because I have GERD I am not a good candidate for a sleeve. He said patients that get a sleeve generally develop reflux, and if you already have a history of GERD its a bad idea.

I found out after my endoscopy Friday that I have pretty severe GERD.
My surgeon thinks it will improve or disappear with the sleeve but I also hear it could worsen. Thoughts?
