11 days post bypass - and last night in my sleep I ate my bright orange wax earplug!

Pretty sure THAT is not in my post-op menu list!

I don’t usually wear ear plugs but we are staying in a hotel - the ear plugs clearly bother me, I sometimes take them out and stick them weird places in the night, like in the lampshade, squished inside my bedside reading etc.

But eating one! Well, I appear to have chewed it a bit, so fingers crossed my new tummy can figure out what to do - else it is Christmas Hospital Visit for me!

Merty Christmas to you all...

Good news! I researched a little and earplugs (even with residual ear wax) have zero calories! :):):)

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!

More importantly - do they have Protein? ?.

Have you had a wad of pink poop yet? Inquiring minds and all? (psssst...I alternately snorted Water out of my nose and read in your situation with extreme horror!) :D Good times.

In my ‘firehose’ phase I would have noticed immediately. Now things are more solid, I didn’t deconstruct, but I assume so!

The recalled feel of bits of orange wax between my teeth still grosses me out. But at least I chewed!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
