Back at the Gym!

Recommended Posts

A bit of inspiration for the gym tomorrow! I have this printed and posted on my wall. Every time I think about skipping the gym I look at this and decide to suck it up and go even if it’s just for 20 minutes. I find that once I’m there it’s easier to get through it and find the motivation!

great inspiration! Went to the gym yesterday and so didn't feel like it. I was on the spin bike for 25 minutes and then I did calenstantic exercises for 10 minutes. Stretched for 10 after all of it. It's was rainy and cold yesterday today it's nice outside but still cold. For today's workout, I cleaned the bathrooms, worked up quite a sweat making them shine! Plus it's satisfying to shower in a clean one afterward. :)

I want to believe that I do not have to beat any part of me. The "old me" deserves a hug and a "you go girl" for being able to keep me going. I also believe that she will have her times to shine as I go on in life, and she should be allowed to. I do not expect to be as motivated as I am now for the rest of my life (I train 4-6 times a week at this point). I love motivational quotes but this one is a little bit to tough for me.

Way to go for getting back into the gym though!!!

If he's truly at the, local gym, I'll drag my tired fat body out of bed, pull on my OSU sweatshirt, a pair of bicycle shorts, my cross-trainers and be right over. Sweet eye-candy and the only, candy I'd indulge in currently![emoji13][emoji106]Yum Yum! PS. He actually resembles Nate at our local gym, a trainer who was a High School classmate of my son coincidently

I'm an old chick..No harm in looking and appreciating. ;) Especially if it gets you to the gym.

My friend advised me against this.....Yes, its not good gym edicate.

I saw someone at the gym that could stay on the treadmill jogging for an hour. I wanted to see if I could do the same. I found a treadmill not directly next to him. I challenged myself to see if I could match or beat his pace etc....In my mind the race was on. Did this for a month. I bet this guy thought I was a stalker.

Betcha you aren't as old as me. I am as old as dirt, 72, I've got being a cougar on my bucket list, if I can lose enough weight and get enough energy. Oh well I can sit on the sidelines drooling, at my age they'll just think I can't control my saliva.I may have lost many things but not my mind, weight or my sense of humor[emoji13][emoji13][emoji13]

Feeling a bit better, some days are up other days are not so up...pic in the middle is the most recent, got a hair trim...I suppose it has something to do with being an autie I feel and experience deeply...Did an old tae bo DVD and don't regret it...I try to keep my options open and my head up...it's a struggle but I'm trying

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
