Do You have to grind up your meds?

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there have to grind up their meds to take them? They are SO nasty I almost have to hurl getting them down. Any idea how long I'll have to do this until I can start taking them whole again?

Thanks.

I've had two fills since being banded in July and I don't have any problems taking my pills whole. At first, I cut them in half but again, no problems with them, so now I just take them. And, one of my pills are giant metformin caplets. Now those are BIG.

I got banded a week ago today. I was told I would need to grind them for 2 weeks. I agree -- it IS nasty! I put it in applesauce, which makes it a little better. Can't wait to see if I can just take the pills whole -- they really aren't very big! Good luck!

I was given liquid meds. Tonight I want to take a Tylenol PM so I was going to crush it and put it in pudding, but maybe the applesauce would slide down better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
