Challenge Accepted/Completed - Infinity Gauntlet Challenge

Recommended Posts

This takes crazy to a new level for me. This past weekend I completed the runDisney 2017 Infinity Gauntlet Challenge as part of the Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend. This was the last runDisney event scheduled for the Disneyland Resort as all future events have been canceled/postponed while construction work happens in and around the park.

The event is 19.3 miles. It's two days running that combined the Thor 10K plus the Super Heroes Half Marathon.

I have ran plenty or 10Ks and only one half-marathon, but never back to back.

My game plan was to take it "easy" on the 10K and save myself for the half. However anyone that runs in these types of events knows the adrenaline/thrill of a race and cause you to abandon any planned strategy.

You can train, train, train but there is always that part that is nervous. This go around I had completed a lot more training versus my first half-marathon. However I still remember cramping up the last 1.5 miles and being miserable after. This time I felt as good as one could after running 13.1 miles. I was fatigued but still felt great without any cramping or other pain(s)

This will be my last running event until May for the OC Half Marathon as I am going under the knife in December for my "plastics"

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
