Im almost 2 weeks post-op from my gastric sleeve so I’m still on my full liquid diet. I can have high protein soups or cream soups with skim milk (like cream of chicken + one “can” of skim milk).
I can still have broth and I’ve been drinking the Campbells Chucky/Hearty soups (healthy heart version with low fat, low sodium, low calories) mainly broth then I’ve been blending some of the cooked vegetables and I had no problem keeping it down and digesting it.
Today I took a can and only added half of the cooked vegetables and blended it really smooth and added a scoop of Isopure unflavored protein. It’s blended up very well with no chunks at all (just has a tomato soup consistency) I haven’t eaten it yet but I’m concerned maybe I can’t have it yet I’m very worried about following my diet.
I was told by a few people that they were allowed to do this on their full liquid and their doctors said as long as they can keep it down cause the main focus is making sure your body can stomach it (pun intended) and digest it probably
