Am I going to feel sick to my stomach the rest of my life? It seems like every time I eat something I start feeling sick the rest of the day. I hate this feeling!

Do soft bland foods make u sick too?

That usually means u r eating too much or, not chewing it up enough, or it's not entering your stomach pouch correctly.

Eating too fast? Are you eating too soon after drinking?

I've always been one to inhale my food, because especially at work I don't have but about 10 min to eat lunch. But I have slowed down a lot since surgery. It very well could be eating too soon after drinking Water. It is mostly since I started trying to eat softer foods instead of the liquids and shakes. Also, are the Protein Shakes considered a food, and are we supposed to not drink with the shakes and do the 30/30 rule with them too? It's hard to not drink while eating. :-/

The Protein Shakes you should use them as a Meal Replacement. It really helps with adding up youre Protein. I try to drink one a day and I usually drink it in the morning time. My Dr told me that if you HAVE to drink while you're eating just take a small sip but really try not to drink too much while eating. It actually stretches you're stomach and you're filling it with the Water instead of the food. They say to not eat until 30 minutes after you have drank water and then an hour after

I am almost six weeks post op and I still feel sick no matter what I eat or drink even following all the rules I have learned to take everything extra extra slow because it is no fun to get air in your stomach or NO fun to feel sick. Good luck and I hope your sick to your stomach feeling goes away or at least gets better as Im hoping mine does too :(

This is how I learned not to drink even after a meal. Water right after eating makes me nauseous. Even if I am really thirsty. I have to wait 20-30 mins.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
