I resently bought some Isopure creamy vanilla powder from GNC due to the fact that my stomach started to reject the Premier Protein shakes. In the beginning they were fine but by wk 4 they started to make me feel kinda sick! I tried Pea unflavored Protein Powder, mixing it with my hot cereals or scrambled eggs but that didnt work either! Finally I bought a small bag of the isopure mixed it with my flavored water & havent had any problems with it yet! Yeeh[emoji3]. So now I ordered more in a different flavor to see if it will still help me get my Protein in for the day & wont make me sick!

Oh yes, this isopure has 50g of 100% whey isolate protein with plenty of bcaa which is good since my restictions on exercise has been lifted . so I'll be doing a bit more weight lifting to firm up my skin. But be careful because it has 210 calories per scoop! So I split my doses in half. I before the gym & the other when i get home!

I am in school so I am trying to utilize canned foods and things I can preamble and eat when needed. I have tried the B.B. wild salmon, I’m not a salmon fan but this was good. I also eat the canned chicken breast, I don’t know if I can eat it blended but I guess I will have to try for the purée stage. I want to make veggie style baby food to eat during the purée stage, I have been looking up recipes for that.
What I am really curious about is the broth stage. Are we supposed to use bullion cubes in boiled Water or something else? I was thinking about making my own but I wasn’t sure. I’m trying to keep my salt intake down and I worry the bullion cubes might have a lot in them.

Unjury makes a great chicken broth flavored mix with 21 grams of Protein. It comes already seasoned, you just mix it with hot water. Their unflavored mix is also a life saver!! You can go to their website and get individual packages to try before you buy a whole big container.

I drank the Isopure everyday when I was on the liquid diet. During the soft stage enjoyed bariatricpal's chocolate Protein pudding. Just a packet I added fairlife milk too and gave me tons of protein. Now that I'm about a month post op I drink one Atkins mocha latte shake as a replacement for morning coffee (which I can get on Amazon's subscribe & save which makes it affordable).
As far as trying different Proteins, Quest has sample single packs you can buy from their website. I picked one or two each and had them sent to my house and I think they were about $2 each. Plus Quest does protein chips and Protein Bars which are tasty and worth a look. AND later when you are having cravings their Cheat Clean cookbook has tons of ideas for high protein amd low sugar options. Best of luck!

Don't use bullion. I bought boxed Bone Broth. chicken and Beef. Organic. You can find in most large supermarkets. But stay away from bullion. WAY too much salt.

I have been reading up on this and decided to try making my own bone broth. The thought of drinking salty bullion grossed me out, so glad that I didn’t do that thanks for the heads up. [emoji1360]

I can't even imagine drinking bullion!! Bone broth is not hard to make, and soooooo much better for you than bullion! Glad you asked about this! Good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
