I know you said you are taking a stool softener if that is the case increase your Water intake. The stool softener will extract water from your bowels and dehydrate you more and dehydration will cause more issues for you. I remember when I did Atkin's I was severely constipated and had to go to the Emergency room, boy that was not fun for me or the nurses.

My rather simple question, have you changed laundry products? I've had similar symptoms and it was that easy. If you have, you don't have to get rid of the detergent. Just add 1/4 C vinegar to your rinse cycle.

Hope you are feeling better.

There are a couple of things that come to mind here. First, when you are on a high Protein diet you can get constipated. Second, what is your Water intake? If you are drinking coffee or any caffeinated beverage you have to add double the amount of Water to cover the caffeine intake because it will dehydrate you. The itching could be a sign of dehydration. You have to drink at least 64oz of water plus the water you intake for Protein and food. Second, your body is going through a drastic nutritional change make sure you are getting the right Vitamins. Third with this nutritional change comes new allergies, likes, and dislikes. Look at what you are eating. Low carb diets could cause Keto Rashes. Look up, Keto Rash or Candida.

Oh wow - I've never heard of Keto Rash before so I looked it up - here is a quick YouTube to watch...totally makes sense! Thanks!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
