it appears i've lost my motivation ...

Great advice above.

And its never ever too late to get back on track.

I really do sometimes have to commit to ONE week in my head. ONE week of perfect eating. Which to me just means 3 meals per day, nothing in between, its nothing too restrictive or impossible. ONE week. It always turns out that if I can do that, then I can get going again. I see a weight loss, I become motivated and I'm good to go for another little while, before motivation wanes again.

This is really good advice. i happen to be in a "sloppy" eating cycle. So yesterday i brought it down to commiting to the day. i feel so much better today since i didnt eat junk yesterday.

but the week is even a better commit.

thanks once again for great advice

Thanks for the motivation, I believe we all get down, that is what is so good about this site, we all need to encourage each other. Just knowing we all have had the same feelings about ourselves, and look at the people that has had all the success. I am sure they went through it all, but there is a goal that we started out to meet, and we will get there, it just takes time.

Just BELIEVE it

Another Consideration Is The Loss Of Your Puppy. It Only Happened This Week, And I Know When I Lost My Dog, I Didn't Care About Losing Weight. I Just Wanted To Feel Better So I Ate. Just Give Yourself Some Time And You Will Be Back And We Won't Be Able To Keep You Down!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
