1 year out-what is your eating style?

Recommended Posts

How much are you eating 1 year out? Do you just eat meals or do you have a snack time too? How do you deal with head hunger too? Just trying to not get stressed but want to continue losing or maintain. I'm 100 pounds down from my heaviest weight but I'm short 4'0". I'd love to hear some other people's eating habits a year out. TY!

My eating habits from a year on to now are the same - I just increased calories and carbs as I transitioned to maintenance. First veggies, then grains as I could eat more. My initial loss period was 17 long months.

I do frequent small meals and Snacks. I feel like it helps both my metabolism and with my feelings of satiety. I still don't really feel hunger, but the idea of needing to eat is still ingrained.

I'll have Breakfast, a few hours later a Protein snack like a hardboiled egg, or raw nuts and cheese. Then lunch, and a few hours later another snack, maybe deli meat, Jerky or roasted chickpeas. dinner. I play nighttime snacking by ear. If I want something sweet, I might have a smoothie, a Protein Shake, or if my calories allow, a piece of dark chocolate. Or a string cheese. Or I might just drink Water if I'm out of calories or not feeling genuine hunger. Sometimes I have to eat - I've had a low calorie day. It all depends.

I'm easily maintaining my loss. I never feel deprived. I don't binge or graze. I don't feel the need to overeat at meals. This works for me. My sleeve is just too small to adhere to the classic "three large meals" that other people do, and that made me obese in the first place.

I do track, though. I'm sure not to let little calories here and there add up to a big shock.

Im a sleever with a minimiser ring .... I'm not a year out but around 9.5mths out. I eat two or three times a day with my first meal being at 1pm as I do intermittent fasting of 16:8.
My meals are quite small and depending on what I eat will depend on how much I feel full. I avoid fruit unless it's berries and avoid any carbs that are breads, rices , pastas , starchy veggies , anything that's packaged with too much sugar in it (over 5gm per 100), milky stuff but I'll have cream . I eat predominantly a hflc.
I would be lying if I said I don't eat some crap. I sometimes track my food but with my IF I don't have to..
I lost my weight in around 3-4 mths and have stayed the same up until 3 weeks ago where I have lost a couple more kgs. I'm a low bmier as well lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
