Surgery went well. I got to add a bit of greek yogurt today, which was wonderful! I'm uploading another video, but I'm not sure how often I'll do them. I feel funny. I guess I'll get used to it. How are you making out? Added my chewable Calcium today. Will take my Vitamins tonight with my 6:00 meal. Didn't want to do them on an empty stomach, so shifted the times. I'm using Celebrate Vitamins. The orange calcium isn't too bad...crossing my fingers I can tolerate the multi's tonight!

Dude, I can't wait to add yogurt- still on shakes and Water for another 9 days ugh. Not vits till then either. But I feel funny too, not quite right- but so much better than last week. I think getting to the pureed stage, losing the incisions Patches, and being able to sleep on my side- that will be the end of the worst of it for me! I also want to quit the pain and nauseau meds but I'm afraid of how bad it might be!

I could sleep on my left side about 2 days ago, my right is still a wee tender, but I'm off the meds....and seemed to slide from pain to hurt/uncomfortable today. I turned a corner! I have a class this week to talk about stage 3/4 foods next. pureed foods, here I come!

By the way, the multi-vitamins...blech/taste wise, but I coat my tongue in yogurt first to dull the taste. It's fine. They'll help keep me healthy, so I'll deal until I use these up and try a different flavor. :)

My surgery was on August 4th, so almost a week out! Everything is going as expected. I have been able to manage the pain with just Tylenol and nausea with a zofran a couple of times. There's the gas.... I'm working on getting in the Protein during this liquid phase, but I realized the other day that it was just as important to how I was feeling to make sure I was staying hydrated and just keep getting liquids in me. I woke up yesterday really feeling woozy and dehydrated. Luckily I can tolerate Water, sf Jello, G2, and some veggie broth I made in advance and froze.

I am able to move around a bit while my energy levels are building. I'm just trying to be patient with myself and keep those "what the F*&#%K did I do to myself" moments in check.

Nhope! Fabulous. Glad to hear you're doing well...just keep on going, one step at at time. I'm 10 days out now, and the amount of energy I have today as opposed to five days ago surprises me! I don't wear down as quickly. Your name and PA reminds me of a nearby town called New Hope! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
