So I was scheduled for July 26 2017 and started my pre op liquid diet today all psyched up to do this and hit a little snafu. The surgeons office called and said the doctor has scheduling conflicts for that date and pushed it for August 9th. Im still going to continue to do the liquid diet only the first 2 weeks eat salads for dinner. Then the 2 weeks before surgery I am going to drop the salads. The problem I am having today and I hope someone can help advise me is since all my liquids are sugar free....I am diabetic and my sugars plummeted to 64. I asked my doctor and he basically just told me to play around with the dosage.

are there shakes that are geared toward diabetics?

There are ones that have no sugar in them. I use quest powder with unsweetened almond milk or isolate zero with water.
