Hello everyone, I'm excited and nervous. I begin my pre op diet Tuesday 7/11 and surgery scheduled for 7/25. Just want to get it over with so I can begin my transformation .

I'm on the same agenda as you. Preop diet starts July 11th and RNY July 25th

7:30am EST it's showtime. Dropped 20lbs during this hellish liquid diet and I'm sitting at 298 right now. I wanna get down to 220 or lower which sounds right since I'm 6'3!
To everyone that's gone before me I hope you all show me the right path because I plan on helping those who come after me. Pretty pumped up right now just wanted to post so I can update you all in the following days! Wish me luck.

Your user name gives the impression you may be from the Philadelphia area. I'm about 30 minutes south of Philly .... Dr Williams is doing my surgery at the University of Penn ... where was yours done and by who?

Good on you getting the stuff early. It will make things much less stressful. I got released from the hospital today and am doing better, they gave me liquid pain meds which are helping a lot when I need it. I'm suprised at my weight loss already. Started the liquid diet at 317 and today I'm 294 with no appetite thank god lol

Appreciate it all! Glad to see the support. Picked up my Vitamins tonight. Flinstones, B12, and ordered some calcium citrate meltables from Amazon. I'm supposed to get Vitamin D but I could only find like D3 and other D's but no straight Vitamin D. Other than that I should be good right guys?

Nurse here. Get the D3

Thanks a lot! Yeah things are going fine, still on my liquid diet until Thursday but I been slowly heading back to the gym getting cardio in, haven't ran yet because I'm scared what the bouncing will do for my incisions. I just want to start lifting weights already lol

I went from 317 when I started liquid diet and today I am 287.6 but I've been here for about 4-5 days now so I think I'm experiencing my first mini stall. Makes sense right? 2 weeks pre op and 1 week post op = 3 week dreaded stall right?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
